Storyline Grandpa?s Chair follows the aging relationship between a Filipino Grandfather and his Granddaughter. Love in this family is expressed through the use of food, specifically a plate of fried rice, fried hotdogs and an egg. When this meal is given to the Granddaughter for the first time she immediately feels the love of her Grandfather through one bite. As years pass, food continues to fuel the connection of family and culture but also unfortunate heartache.
